🚨TSUNAMI ALERTS ACROSS THE PACIFIC 🚨

A powerful 8.7 magnitude earthquake struck off Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, triggering tsunami alerts across the Pacific.

Pacific Countries and territories currently affected:

🇼🇸 Samoa – Tsunami watch issued. Authorities are urging the public to stay away from coastal areas and await further updates.
🇬🇺 Guam – Tsunami warning issued, with waves possible within the next few hours. Residents advised to move to higher ground.
🇺🇸 Hawai‘i – Tsunami warning in effect. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center confirms hazardous waves may reach the islands around 7:17 p.m. HST.
🇨🇰 Cook Islands - Hazardous tsunami waves of 0.3 - 1.0 m above tide level are possible across the Cook Islands arriving late this evening.
🇦🇺 Australia – Marine tsunami warning issued for eastern coastlines, including parts of New South Wales and Queensland. Strong and unusual currents possible.
🇳🇿 New Zealand – Monitoring ongoing. No official warning yet, but Civil Defence is advising caution for eastern coastal regions.

Coastal communities across the Pacific are urged to stay alert and follow all official instructions. Tsunami waves may arrive in multiple surges and vary in size.
