Alone and now leaving Italy after 12 days. I left Rome 2 days ago and decided to head back to the coast to see Cinque Terre. And now I'm in the train heading to my next country, Switzerland. And damn boy, the thought of leaving this country makes me sad. Couldn't think of a more perfect start than the almost 2 week stay we had in Italy. The country, the food, the culture, the sights, and the people. And to highlight the best part: The super humans, we met were just absolute legends. To our friends from , thanks for spoiling us with proper Italian Hospitality the past 10 days. You guys made our trip to Italy such an epic one. Lovey and I are extremely grateful for all the warmth, the time to show us around to some of the best places in Italy(even to some unknown pretty villages), and to all the espressos, cappucinnos, plates of pasta, croissants, tons of cheese, and glasses of wine you've offered, I guess our tropical hearts were filled.
This is the beauty of traveling, friends. You get to meet tons of amazing humans on the road and the moment you click, you easily know you have a home in their country. You will be welcomed and have a family in a foreign land, say what?! So I say, go out there and don't be afraid to strike a conversation to the person next to you on the plane, or the ferry, or even the one staying on your lower bunk.
Grazie, Italy! 🇮🇹
