Lieutenant Colonel Laura Cranston wins Women in Security Awards Aotearoa’s “Contributing to defence and international security” category for her work on United Nations Security Council Resolution on Women, Peace and Security.

LTCOL Cranston has been announced by the organisers of Women in Security Awards Aotearoa 2023-24 as the winner of the ‘Contributing to defence and national security’ category in her role as Director, New Zealand Defence Force Women, Peace and Security.

This category recognises a professional who has through their commitment, capability, professionalism, advocacy, innovation, and/or leadership made a significant contribution to the defence of New Zealand and its national interests or, more broadly, to regional or international security.

Backed by industry stalwarts and a new approach to customer service, Trade Security Supplies Limited (TSS) launched today, with ambitions to shake up the security sector as Paradox Security Systems' newly appointed distributor for New Zealand.

Highly regarded security industry veterans Steve Mace and Basil Sykes have joined the TSS team to helm the new business, a sister company to established enterprise security distributor Channel Ten Security Imports.

“We’ve heard loud and clear what customers are saying about suppliers acting like order takers and box movers with no personal touch, so we have set out with the intention to redefine the experience by putting our customers, and their needs, at the centre of everything we do,” said Managing Director Andrew Moss.
