2025: same rich man, same line — except now HE'S sitting on a mountain of cookies, and the two working men are still glaring at each other over the scraps.

Nothing's changed except the size of the pile.

Sound familiar, NZ? 🇳🇿 While Aucklanders argue over immigration, housing queues, and "who's taking whose spot" — the real conversation nobody's having is why one generation could buy a house on one income and this one can't on two. It's not the guy next to you eating your cookie. It's the guy at the top who owns the whole plate, the table, and the house it's sitting in.

A 33-year-old man who was fatally shot by police while approaching Auckland’s Sylvia Park Shopping Centre with a stolen air rifle was serving a sentence of community detention and supervision, RNZ reports.

The man had four previous convictions for fi****ms-related offences and was sentenced to four years in prison in 2023 for aggravated robbery.

After his release in 2025, he was convicted of stealing more than $1,000 worth of goods from Rebel Sport and was serving four months of community detention and supervision at the time of the shooting.
