Bateman publishes a wide range of non-fiction titles for the local and international markets and specialises in richly illustrated books with high production values. Between 25 and 30 new titles are issued each year, with around 250 titles kept in print. A key presence in the New Zealand publishing industry, Bateman has published over 600 books in the last 30 years.

Both novels offer a unique perspective on the lengths some of us might go to to bring a child into the world. Funny, moving, wonderful readings and a stimulating discussion.
