Some AWESOME news for you! There’s a new film about the brilliant band ALIEN WEAPONRY and it’s having its New Zealand PREMIERE at the NZ International Film Festival.

And the band will be there!

If you want to see the brothers from Alien Weaponry, ask them a question and watch their amazing story on the big screen then buy tickets to Wellington Premiere on the 10th of August or the Auckland Premiere on the 14th of August!

Even if you’re not a fan of heavy metal, you can’t help but admire Alien Weaponry. If not for their rise to fame on an international scale, then for being the first band of the genre to sing in te reo Māori.

The New Zealand Film Commission is running an exclusive free test screening of the new feature film 'ALIEN WEAPONRY' at HOYTS, Sylvia Park on Monday 11th September, 2023. Please note that registration via the link below is imperative to gain entry to the screening.

SYNOPSIS:
A feature documentary that follows the two teenage brothers at the core of Māori thrash metal band ‘Alien Weaponry’ as they try to storm the music world with their waiata reo Māori.

Check-in is open on the night of the screening from 5:30pm, and we ask you to arrive by 6pm for a 6:15pm screening. The film will finish at 8pm, and then we will ask audience members to complete a short survey to provide feedback on the film.
