Our 50 Reading Road books are aimed at upper primary age students, and older, who, for whatever reason, don’t yet have the core phonics knowledge required to read fluently. These students will benefit from going back to basics to fill in any gaps they have in the alphabetic code.

Our Reading Road teacher notes contain clear, well-structured guidance to running lessons around every title in the Reading Road series, and support intentional teaching to help build older students’ skills. The multiple student worksheets, available for each book, reinforce key skills and provide helpful follow-up activities that connect well with the text. They are written specifically to appeal to older students and, as well as phonics and comprehension activities, also link to other curriculum topics.
