With the agreement of NZ Rugby, the All Blacks coaching staff have made the decision to bring Richie Mo’unga into the squad as cover for the injured Billy Proctor.

Mo’unga’s call-up also sees NZ Rugby bend its previously strict eligibility criteria, which required players returning from overseas contracts to complete a domestic campaign before being considered for All Blacks selection.

The former All Blacks star is now set to board a flight to join the squad and is expected to arrive by Friday.

Nothing is confirmed yet but CODE Sports is reporting that Jett Cleary has asked the for an early release to join the Panthers in 2027. If true it would be the latest in a long list of Warriors that have left the club with time left on their contract, with Mitch Barnett and Luke Metcalf others that asked for releases earlier this season.
