Tuscan Real Wedding and Welcome Party for Briana + Jordan By Silvia Poropat.

We actually met on the dating app Raya. After a couple of weeks of silly, borderline unhinged banter via text, our first date was at Thunderbolt in Los Angeles, and the conversation just never stopped. It immediately felt weirdly familiar, like we’d known each other for years. It was one of those dates where time evaporates, and you walk away thinking, “Oh… this might actually be something.”

“We wanted our wedding to feel modern and minimal, yet intimate and playful all at once, like a dinner party with all the people we love. One of our favourite design elements was the shape of our dinner tables: two long, interlocking crescents set against a backdrop of olive groves meeting the Adriatic Sea. The ikebana-style florals brought a sculptural, modern energy to the tablescape, while the wishbone chairs made the space feel like an extension of our own dining room at home.”

We worked closely with our planner, Jen, and florists Kasia and Davide, who helped to transform the villa into something intimate, elevated and completely us. Deep red and green florals complemented the villa’s soft, neutral palette, while curved tables dressed in crisp white linens and paired with clear chairs allowed the vibrant blooms and our guests’ colourful outfits to shine.”

“When we began planning our wedding, we drew inspiration from medieval revival and romanticism. We go to the Renaissance faire every year in our city, so we wanted the celebration to feel like stepping into an old storybook. We watched films like The Princess Bride, Romeo and Juliet, Excalibur, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Saltburn for mood and visual language. The tone we imagined was romantic, nostalgic and slightly mythical, while still personal.”

“The styling felt modern yet deeply connected to La Tonnara’s raw and natural character. One of the standout visual aspects was the floral ceremony installation: a bold, expressive arrangement set against the expanse of sea and stone, energising the space without overwhelming it. Storytelling also appeared through stationery. Custom illustrations referencing local myths and symbols, including sea stacks, mermaids and tuna, appeared across tablecloths, the aperitivo bar, and in subtle design touches throughout the day.”
