It was a night to remember forever, 1000 performers and a delight to my soul. Like nothing I’ve ever seen. The scale of the performance was mind blowing. Best show ever!!!

When she left her Father, Mother and brother behind in Scotland she only had 1 person to rely on. Herself! Her older brother had been sent up to Wanganui to work in the forests and she was in domestic service in Wellington. Barbara couldn’t rely on her brother to support her, she had to stand on her own. Her goal was to get ahead and own a shop as soon as she could. She wanted to be a businesswoman. But first Barbara had to do other people’s laundry and start her life in New Zealand in a very humble way. By the end of her life Barbara had reached her goals…stay tuned for more in the life of the siblings from Aberdeenshire.
