Congratulations to the DROP team, part of the Sawmill Summer Grant initiative, for winning their first film award for Best Sound at The Independent Horror Movie Awards!

DROP has also been accepted into the TOTSFilmFestival and no doubt there will be many more festival announcements to come!

Congratulations to the Sawmill Summer Grant Team, 'The Tongue Thief', for kicking off their film festival journey with the premiere of The Tongue Thief at Event Cinemas during the Random Directions Film Festival in August!

Additionally, The Tongue Thief has also been accepted into the TSF Film Festival with future international festivals to be announced soon!!

Project Eve is the fourth of five Sawmill Studio Summer Grant Films, with the final shoot taking place this weekend.

Fredrick Pokai's short film Project Eve is the forth of five films to be shot at Sawmill Studios over the past month as part of the Sawmill Studios Summer Grants.

"In an unknown institute, a controversial experiment is taking place. Headed by Professor Stein who wishes to unlock the full potential of the human mind. Upon success we find out the sinister truth behind the experiment."

Project Eve is a short sci-fi/horror film written and produced by Fredrick Pokai, starring May Saussey as Eve, Peata Panoho as Delilah, and Jaemes Peter Churchward as Professor Stein.

Fred is one of five applicants chosen for the Sawmill Studios Summer Grant Films and is currently filming his short at Sawmill Studios here in Marlborough.
