Our neighbour Arthur: such a gem💎 Trained at Michelin-starred Oustau de Baumanière, ex-Hans Herzog, and former wine director of Scotch Wine Bar (NZ’s Best Wine Experience 2022, Cuisine Magazine). He now runs the beautiful Soif here in Market Street — exceptional natural wines and the warmest welcome in town. Couldn’t be prouder to have our recording studio right here in .

‘Kaiaka’ means ‘mastery’ in Te Reo Maori, New Zealands native language. The Kaiaka logo is also the colour ‘Oranje’ tracing back to the very heart of The Netherlands. Sander being a proud Dutchman, like myself, and a long way from home, ‘Kaiaka’ marries our two worlds - his roots and her home. Huia is of Maori ancestry - Te Rarawa & Te Aupouri iwi from the Far North, Muriwhenua.

What an unforgettable evening at the ASB Theatre in Blenheim! We had the privilege of capturing ‘A Night on the Booze’ with the incredible Paddy Gower, Jeremy Corbett, and Pam Corkery, hosted by the St Marks’ Foundation. This powerful event brought raw, honest, and heartfelt conversations about addiction and recovery to the stage, blending humor, insight, and inspiration. From personal stories to the impactful screening of ‘Life after Meth’, it was a night that sparked connection and hope in our community.

A huge thank you to the speakers, local heroes Danyon Fairbrother and Nicole Eaton-Boese-Marfell, and everyone who came out to support this vital cause. Together, we’re breaking the stigma and supporting addiction recovery in Marlborough and beyond.

Pam Logan has been the humble heart of Blenheim’s theatre scene for nearly five decades as a director, actor and teacher. As a true star she plays Marilyn in Ripcord.

Pūtōrino // Played as a cross-blown flute, the pūtōrino has Raukatauri’s voice, but played as a trumpet it has a male voice. A third voice, played through the central opening, is thought to be that of Raukatauri’s mysterious daughter Wheke, who, though she is never seen, is responsible for the inarticulate sounds heard in the forest.
