Stoked to welcome Ayaluna to the Norman label. One of the strongest producers pushing New Zealand dubstep out to the wider world, this one has been a long time coming.

Born and raised in Paris and now based in Christchurch, Ayaluna draws inspiration from the mechanical pulse of city life: metro rumbles, construction clangs and cars whistling through narrow streets. Alongside those industrial textures, her Lebanese roots and strong sense of identity remain a constant thread in her sound, giving her music both weight and intention.
Her journey into dubstep began in 2020 after attending a show in Wellington. From there she quickly immersed herself in the online dubstep world, diving deep into artists like Kercha, Zygos and Kromestar and refining her own take on the sound.
In 2023, while back in Paris, she attended a Bass Paradize show headlined by Karma, with Beatrice M., Tinky and Traces on support. It was a full-circle moment that further cemented her connection to the scene and the wider community around it.
Before stepping into dubstep, Ayaluna focused on hip-hop, R&B and cinematic composition. She has produced music for Nganeko, Oceans Before Me Charitable Trust, and composed a short film score for Wellington City Council.
It’s great to have her on the label..
