It was a immense joy to spend time with my childhood friend- Kishan Pradhan in Bengaluru before heading back to New Zealand. Coming from the small village of Charaikhola in Kokrajhar, Kishan's journey is truly inspiring. He post graduated from IIT Bombay with a degree in electronics and now holds a leadership role at a global electronic giant like Samsung and Intel. His hard work, focus, and humility have driven his success despite numerous challenges.

We had a meaningful discussion about various societal aspects, including Indian culture, industry trends, and social changes among the youth in India. Kishan shared that the most rewarding moments for him were during his struggle periods in both academics and professional life.

Patanjali Yoga says yoga is for the stillness of mind

Celebrating Yoga Day in Christchurch, New Zealand

Most of us do yoga at home, but practicing with the community gives a different sense of satisfaction and joy.

I recently started practicing Isha Yoga and have greatly benefited from it.

Needless to say, yoga has enormous benefits for our physical body, mind, and soul.

Glad to see my wife Tiza Chetriis showing some interest and responsibilities around this activity.

Practice is important; otherwise, the knowledge is of no use.

Let’s practice our ancient yoga for our personal growth and for the benefit of our community.

“Malai NewZealand Duniya Janu Chaina” (I don’t want to go New Zealand world) , my daughter was crying and said repeatedly in Bengaluru international airport. Departing from friends and relatives is really painful for both children’s and elders. Specially children where they grow up, they love those places, people and culture ; my children were not exceptional from this . For a moment I was also thinking if I am doing wrong ?while taking my children and family to New Zealand . However I think migration is natural for human life either for better opportunities or to full fill skill demand for other parts of the world

This beautiful world that we live in is the result of constant migration and movement, filling skill gaps in other parts of the world and ambitions to grow and contribute for the society. Isn't it ?

Met recently in Bengaluru
Both of these friends I met around 18 years ago during our job search time. Today, both of them are experts in their respective fields in IT in renowned organizations, and our friendships grow stronger day by day. What I learned over time is that any relationship is stronger when we do things together; just friendship for fun may not last long.

Coming back to our job search time, here are a few learnings for job seekers:
After each interview, we used to discuss internally among friends.
We started with 6 to 8 people in a 1BHK house; I can't remember the exact number, as some friends would come and go like it was their parental house, but it was a most memorable experience. The advantage of being with friends was a lot of learning from each other; I never felt homesick even though I was far away from Assam.
I also remember when one of the friends got the job; it brought so much joy to me but also created pressure because the same friends turned into advisors, and their confidence levels changed. This was definitely a good thing about starting with friends during the job search time.
I remember I used to run the program on my desktop (lying on the floor) to verify the output; it enhanced my concept clarity.
Lastly, I should share that I obtained Sun certification in 2005. After getting the certification, I received more interview calls, and I felt more confident. So, certification helps to get calls and ace job interviews both in India and abroad.
