03 Sessions has chalked up FIVE YEARS of gigs in 2025 - a huge milestone for our kaupapa, and the community that makes it happen.

We're going to be talking about the music, of course. But we also want to celebrate our designers - the people who's mahi has shaped the visual identity of 03 Sessions from the very beginning. Our distinct season posters have become a part of our DNA - seen online, in cafes, and pasted around town.

So... we're marking the occasion with something special. A super limited-edition Poster Capsule Archive - a curated collection of prints from some of our most memorable seasons.

Five poster designs for five years. Only THREE copies of each, signed by the artist, hand-numbered, and locally printed on premium paper.

Available at our Five Years of 03 Sessions event this Thursday, and online soon after. Strictly limited - once they're gone, they're gone!

Tomorrow 8pm MOTTE takes the stage crafting evocative, cinematic soundscapes blending violin, voice, and theremin in ambient to experimental pop.

Performing under the moniker MOTTE as her solo persona, Anita Clark is a violinist, composer and producer, based in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, NZ.

Tonight's show Antipodes NZ Tour – Christchurch CANCELLED – Due to the strong winds and state of emergency Antipodes are unable to safely travel from their previous tour stop.

We hope to welcome them back to 03 Sessions another time in the future!

Antipodes blend modern jazz with cinematic grooves and rich harmonies, drawing on influences from both sides of the Tasman. Led by Jake Baxendale and Callum Allardice - both winners of the NZ Jazz APRA Award for Best Composition - the group delivers world-class original music that "emphasise melody, emotive soundscapes, and an open improvisational aesthetic."

We are so excited to welcome Myele Manzanza and friends to 03 Sessions next month. These will be a hot ticket so get in quick! Early birds available until 1st Oct. More info below...

"Rhythm resides deep in the spirit for drummer and composer Myele Manzanza. Raised in New Zealand by a Congolese master percussionist father, Manzanza has developed a singular voice that bridges jazz, electronic music, hip-hop, and African rhythm, all unified by a visceral, embodied sense of groove.

Now based in London, Manzanza has become a vital presence in the city’s jazz and electronic scenes. Since 2021, he has hosted the monthly Late Late Show residency at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, serving as both bandleader and connector for an ever-evolving roster of improvisers and collaborators."
