3 BANDS AT SPACIES TONIGHT HELL YEAH!
Living Clipboards + Androidss + Chains
$20, 8pm Doors, 8:30pm Start, at Space Academy

LIVING CLIPBOARDS – Post-Punk supergroup from Dunedin & Wellington ft. Mark Williams (MarineVille), Denise Roughan (The 3Ds, LBGP) & Jim Abbott (Ghost Club). Veering between “low-slung menace, petulant snarl, and languid pop”, Living Clipboards are celebrating the splatter vinyl reissue of debut LP All Over Tawa.

CHAINS combine melancholy vocals with looping disco basslines and driving, pounding rhythms. Their sound is built on groove based drum machines, heavy disco dub and thick, ambient wall of noise textures. Chains are Richard Larsen (Glass Vaults), Brian Feary (Wurld Series), Hope Robertson (Death and the Maiden), and Taipua Adams (Terror of the Deep).

ANDROIDSS ft. RADIO ON – Let’s Get Jumpy! Ōtautahi punk legends Mark Android, Gene-Pool Belmondo, Paul Ramon, and Isaac Salek bring us a set of Androidss hits. Iggy Pop went to the see the Androidss, now we get to! Be still my rocking heart!
