🧶 Wow! Thank you to the very kind and talented members of our Zonta club. These warm rugs were donated to Jo Houghton (2nd on right) from the Kidney Society. For her to give to patients on dialysis to keep them warm. We hope they love these, it was a true pleasure to make them. We are very proud with all we do as a club for the Kidney Society. Making weekly morning tea for those receiving treatment also. 🫶🫶🫶

D16 Women in Business Leadership Award Presentation…
What a special evening celebrating Olivia Murphy’s success! This time, she returns not only as our D16 winner but also as the Zonta International winner. Congratulations, Olivia—we are all incredibly proud of you!

The award was presented by our very own Sarah Barclay, Lt. Governor (virtually), alongside Marie Kyle-Stevenson, Area Director, and Rachael Tivers, who presented the Craigs Investment Partners D16 Young Women in Business Award. We wish you all the best, and we’re thrilled that the prize money will support your studies and future endeavors.

The evening continued with an insightful talk from our guest speaker, Belinda van der Monde, on the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme. It was fascinating to learn about the 120 New Zealanders benefiting from this initiative and the impact it has on their lives. Thank you, Belinda, for sharing your knowledge with us!

💛🌼 Thank you, thank you, thank you for us all getting together. Our club hosted the 2025, Zonta D16, Area 3 Meeting.
Area 3 Director Marie Kyle-Stevenson did a fabulous job as MC. We had a wonderful afternoon of friendship and learning.
Guest speaker Raelene Rees spoke on her “don’t let old age slip in”… on her amazing 37 year Accounting business and her athletic life of Marathons, Iron Women, Triathlon and Coast 2 Coast adventures. Also great tips on promoting Zonta to more people getting involved. ZI Director Phillippa Jacobs-Lory spoke on ZI Core Values. Marg Currie spoke on The Foundation and our 40th year of the ZI Foundation, Anne McMurtrie spoke on behalf of the Nominating committee, encouraging us all to support each others to take on new roles. Then the 5 fabulous Presidents gave reports on their clubs amazing year. We were impressed by all clubs and the difference your making in our world!
We then went out for a delicious Italian dinner, so good! Lots of laughs!
Thank you to all who contributed to the day, in the kitchen, baking, karakia, flowers etc 💛
