The Music Club Open Mic Night

Hey everyone! Now for those at uni and in BandSoc you might know that we have merged with UCMus to form The Music Club hence the name change of the page... Anyway we have a new page that we need you all to go ahead and join as we are going to start posting all the time on that rather than this page and the UCMus page.

Couple of sidenotes...Thanks to everyone that came to chat and sign up on clubs day that was awesome!
Also as well (sorry it's so late) the 1st Open Mic for the year has been delayed a week so is now on the 10th rather than tomorrow (3rd). This is an open board event where you can rock up and play and runs on Monday night with free pool and cheap drinks.
We will post information about this event and all our other events on the new page so you will need to jump on there, cheers!

BandSoc has a surprise for all you acoustic musicians out there!
We are holding an... UNPLUGGED ACOUSTIC COMPETITION!!!!
Similar to Battle of the Bands this is your opportunity to show your peers how to own the stage but this time acoustic style!
Dates: Heat- Monday 30th ~4-10pm
Final- Saturday 5th ~6-11pm
At the Foundry Bar!

Register at the link below and make sure to read the Terms and Conditions as there is some important details nestled in those lines. If you want to register get in fast as this event is in less than 2 weeks now and there is only space for a maximum 30 entrants!

Open Mic is back for Term 4!!! Tell your mates and make sure you rock down to the Foundry around 7:30 TONIGHT to get your name on the board and in the draw for the $10 or $20 bar tab!
If you need more convincing the Foundry some drink and food deals on a Monday as well as FREE pool! Hope to see you there!!

Hey guys! Tonight is the last Open Mic night for Term 3! It is also the last open Mic with Mikayla as President, after tonight Patrick and Sam will be taking over joint responsibility. Mikayla will be there tonight so make sure you come give her a good send off.

Details... Same time 7:30 til we get kicked out this means usually packing up before 10 pm. We will have the drum kit set up tonight so for your drummers or bands feel free to come and use that.
Once again anyone can play, for everyone who gets on stage they will be entered in the draw for a $10 or $20 foundry bar tab. You can rock up at any time but if you do want to get your name on the board to play you sometimes need to rock up a bit earlier (i.e. before 9) however we will try to get everyone who wants to play a slot.

ALSO the Foundry has some drink and food deals on a Monday as well as FREE pool!

We are back, baby!

Tonight, 7.30pm, The Foundry.

Get in early if you want to play. And you do want to play because there are Foundry bar tabs up for grabs.

Oh and did I mention there's also free pool and drink specials??

Open Mics will be every Monday night for the rest of the year :)

Hey guys!! Open Mic is now on tomorrow night (Monday) due to the Foundry being booked for a quiz night on Wednesday. Same deal as on Wednesdays, 7:30 til 10 if you get up on stage you go in the draw for a Foundry $20 and $10 bar tab.
Sorry for those tomorrow doesn't suit we'll try be back on Wed for next week.

Open Mic again tonight 7:30 til close at the Foundry! She was a good crowd last week let's try to up it this week, having said that though you may want to come a bit earlier to make sure you get your name on the playing board.
You go in the draw just for a $20 or $10 bar tab voucher just by getting up on stage! As usual any individual or group can perform any genre they want and there may be some members keen for a jam or to provide a backing track for yah if needed. Tell your mates and bring that A game you brag about because she's gunna be a good one...

Open Mic Night is back tonight 7.30pm till close at the foundry! The floor is yours to come play a song and we have all of the kit there for you if you need. Also as usual anyone who plays goes into the draw to win a $20 bar tab at the end of the night. Sweet as!!
