It's all go for the remainder of December, with very active weather patterns.

🌬Multiple southerlies and rain at various stages over the coming days.

🌧Heavy falls, with hail and thunder are possible for parts for areas north of the Rakaia River on Wednesday.

❄️Snow is also likely north of around Mt Hutt above 1400m.

We're watching later stages of Friday/Saturday, with colder southerlies, showers, possible heavy falls and snow about the ranges. Town pages will be moderated and specific details applied on Wednesday, we're just waiting on 2-3 more model runs for consistency ⏳️

Take extreme care on our higher roads and passes, with severe nor-westerly gales.

Avoid our main river systems in the east over the next few days, with significant rain about the Main Divide.
