And just like that, the Radio One office is closed for the year! Don’t fret, we’ll still be broadcasting 24/7 on 91FM or via r1.co.nz 📡 But the team won’t be back on site until early Jan of 2026.

This week, we say ka kite to our dear Logan Edwards who has been R1’s premiere Music Director for the last year and a half, as he heads off back to Ōtautahi! ❤️‍🩹

Log, Loginoff, Logibear, Logangster - whatever it is that you call him - has been a beloved part of our team (often going above & beyond in the line of duty) and a staple in the wider Ōtepoti music scene, so we know we’re not the only ones who are going to miss him!

Things we learnt about Logan:
• he can make very convincing spray can noises.
• can nap anywhere.
• has never used ‘zeitgeist’ correctly, maybe never will.

So a big THANK YOU to the office little brother for all your hard mahi, and well wishes as you Log-off & traverse the globe with guitar in hand 🖤🖤🖤

TOP 11 OF 2025 TIME 📣!!
Local singer-songwriter has taken out the No.1 spot with his ever-so-catchy folk tune, ‘Heaven Knows’, which has been stuck in our heads since it dropped ✨

Calculated by tallying up our previous Top 11s from across the year, 2025 has been packed full of delicious tunes from up and down the motu - but especially here in Ōtepoti as this list so beautifully demonstrates 🖤

Ticking off another calendar Breakfast Show year with str8 fax from the brekkie host himself - Zac Thee Hoffman! ☆☆☆

In order to get such beautiful statistics, we were told Zac sat down with The Oracle of excel spreadsheets. He had to speak a forgotten language to unlock their wise interpretations and keyboard shortcuts. He also mentioned something about a series of physically exhaustive and psychologically torturous tasks he had to complete in order to get the final numbers but tbh, we stopped listening halfway through ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, happy breakfast-ing see you next year x
