Part of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, the DPP will require companies to disclose key product data—such as origin, durability, and environmental impact—to support transparency and sustainability.

📰"Willful ignorance won’t get seized shipments out of CBP detention, nor will it prevent future Withhold Release Orders (WROs)."

When a fashion shipment is detained by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), verified origin can mean the difference between getting those products to market in time or losing the season.

Since the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) first entered into force over two years ago, the apparel, footwear, and textiles category has racked up the second highest number of CBP examinations. And with legal fees reaching up to $60K USD for a single shipment, it pays to be prepared.

Having visibility over the entire supply chain, being prepared with the appropriate documentation, and verifying the origin of your materials is the best way to mitigate the risk of detentions. Proactivity is key.
