Introducing your OUDJS Executive for 2020 🚀
President:
Cameron James Mills (Mylen)
Cameron has a few years in the Dunedin DJ scene under his belt. Starting as a dubstep DJ in 2018 he quickly learnt he needed a tempo change and kicked off his Drum & Bass alias in 2019. He has played countless shows within the city, multiple shows in major cities across NZ, and recent appearances at Soundsplash Timaru and Rhythm and Vines. Having acted as your Secretary on the OUDJS executive last year he is stoked to be acting as your president in 2020 and looks forward to meeting you all.
Vice President:
Tiaan Brunt (Tenze)
Tiaan has been the resident DJ in the Suburbia Courtyard for 2 years now, providing Dunedin with its weekly dose of jaw clenching mixing. Tiaan has seen massive success playing across NZ the past couple years, including international sets at Spring Break Fiji 2019. Tiaan is a master at including many genres in his sets, diversifying from the Dunedin standard of just Drum & Bass.
Treasurer:
Patrick Davis (Liftance)
Pat has been the Macs Brew Bar resident for the past couple years putting together some of the most diverse sets you’ll hear on a night out. Pat has been a DJ for years now and is one of the token Traktor experts in the club. In 2019 he also performed at Spring Break Fiji as well as club shows in Auckland throughout the year. Across his time as a DJ, Pat has accumulated over 230,000 soundcloud streams and supported a range of international talent.
Secretary:
Joe Lawson (Offload)
Joe is a recent up and comer in the Dunedin scene. As an active member of the club in 2019 he blew away members of the previous exec at one of the pint night showcases the club held. This quickly led to more bookings as the young buck continually proves his prowess and willingness to learn. As the youngest member of the executive in 2020, Joe will be a great point of contact for fresh faces to get involved this year.
I want to say a massive thank you to the previous exec Aaron Smith, Joe Madsen and Henri Faulkner for helping this idea come to life. We hope to do great things with the club this year and I’m sure you’ll all be involved still in some capacity!
Expect a follow up post very soon listing some more things you should know coming into 2020. Here’s to a great year 🎧
