Our Board Chair, David, is determined to help us reach our fundraising goal and is taking on the 4km Legend Swim at lake Whakatipu in Queenstown this weekend.

Not quite Cook Strait, but certainly colder and, yes, still in his speedos.

Thank you, David, for going the extra mile (4km) for the Museum.

If you can, please support his efforts and donate.

⚠️ With the heavy rain watch still in place, we’re deploying wet weather diversion barriers in parts of South Dunedin where there are wastewater overflows.

🌊 These new pieces of equipment, which were acquired late last year, are designed to divert wet weather overflow from people and properties.

πŸ‘· Our contractors are still out and about making sure our network is coping with today’s heavy rain, which is forecast to continue until later this evening.

πŸ’ͺ Self-serve sandbag stations remain open at the Dunedin Ice Stadium carpark in Victoria Rd, South Dunedin, and at Mosgiel Memorial carpark. Bags, sand and shovels are available on site, but we encourage people to come ready to fill their own bags.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» We’re continuing to monitor the situation and we’ll provide further updates as needed.
