We are stoked to announce that all of our 2025 songwriting competitions are officially open. If you've got a song in your heart we would LOVE to hear it! All our competitions are open to high school-aged students. That doesn't mean you have to be in high school. If you're home-schooled or attend alternative learning you can still enter Play It Strange.

We have an amazing lineup of judges this year! Chunn , Josh Fountain, Runga, CHAII, , Dianne Swann, Baker, Matt Kidd, Rebel Reid, Georgia Lines and Kings.

All finalists win a day in a recording studio up to the value of $800 +GST. There are awesome prizes for each of the winners of the competitions including a 1:1 mentor session with one of the competition judges, gift cards plus more prizes still to be announced.
