At 2:30pm every Thursday on 105.4FM & 1575AM, Fighting Stigma, an opportunity to sit down with host Vanessa to unpack some of the day-to-day challenges of living with mental illness and explore strategies for facing them with grace, humour and knowledge.

This brilliant show is shared with us by Hamilton-based sister station Free FM, one of 12 Access Media stations in the CAMA - Community Access Media Alliance.

Community Access Media is a cornerstone of the media landscape in Aotearoa; ensuring that diverse voices, underrepresented communities, and local stories are heard.

CAMA's strategic plan reinforces the power of collective impact; when independent stations work together, we amplify our influence and create a stronger future for community-led media.

One component of our strategy is 🤝 Strengthening collaboration across stations to build resilience and share best practices. And we share some of the incredible content being created by communities across Aotearoa with our local audience, including this important show that recognises that discrimination is one of the biggest barriers to recovering from and living well with mental illness and disability.
