🌊Lyall Bay waves are now up to 6m as at 12:45 pm Tuesday.

Hopefully everyone that needed to evacuate because of the predicted high seas, has managed to do so. Also that minimal damage is caused by any encroachment of waves along the southern coast of Wellington.

Combined swells are expected to reach 8m. 🌊🌊

Survey update:

After running our survey for 4 days and receiving over 2,000 responses, we thought we'd share some information with you.

Two key things that we wanted to know were how good Facebook was at getting information to you. It appeared to be lacking in timely posts on many occasions.

There's an obvious demand for instant information - 43%, said that they would like to be able to get information sent to them directly as email or text.

Lert Info address both those issues with their email and text service.

In addition to emergency information, Lertinfo also sends information Lerts. These could be for food and product recalls, important news that is on mainstream media, Water Supply Issues, and a whole lot more.

Hauraki Gulf Weather is suggesting the possibility of significant cold periods going forward into winter because of the distortion in the polar vortex. Full article link is below.

We find their long-range full forecasts extremely good. Cyclone Gabriel is an example, where they were able to give three weeks' initial advance indication that something could be brewing.

If you have a wood burner, it might pay to get a couple of extra loads in just in case.
