Me: trying to film my first reel in forever to show some new bottles and powders I’ve been experimenting with.
My cat: I don’t like these bottles getting more attention then me! Immediately comes over and knocks the pretty pink one off the rail in protest.

THE PERFORMERS HAVE ARRIVED! George Street will become the stage. Our six international street performers are now in Dunedin and getting ready to wow you with circus skills, comedy, fire, storytelling and more:

🔥 Chien Hung Kuo (Taiwan) – Zen‑inspired fire artistry and crystal ball illusions
🎭 El Kote (Chile/France) – unpredictable, hilarious street‑style chaos
🥷 MARBLE (Japan) – high‑energy ninja acrobatics and knife juggling 4m in the air
⚽ Stefan Florescu (Romania) – freestyle football, diabolo and trick‑shots
🎎 The Gipsy Marionettist (Italy/Bosnia) – poetic marionette stories, string by string
🤡 Fraser Hooper (UK/NZ) – award‑winning silent comedy for all ages.

Meet the performers, their stories and what to expect here:

FREE buses for the George Street Market! 🙌

The market is on this Saturday, 7 February, and we’re offering free bus rides for the special occasion – if you’re going to (or from) the market, buses are free from 9am to 8pm on all routes in Dunedin. In addition, the Palmerston to City and return services will be free from 8am up to the 6pm return service to (or from) the market.

📌 What you need to do on Saturday at any time from 9am to 8pm in Dunedin, and from 8am to 6pm on the Palmerston service:

Just tell your bus driver you’re heading to (or from) the market, and you won’t need to use your Bee Card.

Beat the traffic, avoid parking hassles and enjoy the day full of colour, flavour and entertainment! 😁

Tag and share this exciting news with your whānau and friends who are going to the market.
