The Sound Fuse

The Sound Fuse Experiments in Musical Formation. Two questions:

How are musicians formed? and just as interestingly,

How does music form people? But so are you.

These questions are the drive behind The Sound Fuse. This is an educational experiment, expressed right here-and-now through instrument lessons and music intensives, in which the imaginative, intentional and tactile aspects of the musician are developed. We’re looking to create a holistic fusion of music learning within people. It’s also an artistic experiment, expressed through our debut summer c

amp. What is it about music that causes it to colour our lives in such a rich way? How can we create those moments of deep connection where music + people + place all combine into something unique and meaningful? And how can we draw on the musical riches available to us to become the kinds of person the world needs more of? The Sound Fuse is a work in progress. So come on in... ;)

hey. it's a week.

all you artists and creatively-active folks out there, if you're feeling rage, confusion, uncertainty about how to respond to the injustice of this world, and you wanna do and say something but you don't know how or what, just remember, it's OK to do the slow work. to dream and start imagining a different future. to let new ideas for daring action emerge in their own time.

you don't have to personally solve every problem right now!!! good work takes time. true change takes time. if you wanna be part of he revolution, you gotta move beyond the noise of social and invest in your capacity for "cooling anger" (Jeffrey Stout).

create music that moves and motivates. make art that highlights both the beauty and brokenness of our humanity and which evokes the sense of a truer reality. create spaces for intentional conversation & social generativity. that's the task.
