I would like to extend Dunedin Sri Lankan SocietyuneSLSA - Otago University Sri Lankan Students' Associationankan Students' Association for organising such a wonderful Awurudu celebration for the Sri Lankan community in Dunedin.

Everything was beautifully planned and well organised. The food was absolutely delicious, and it truly brought the authentic Awurudu spirit to life. It was especially heartwarming to see the children enjoying themselves, playing games, and having so much fun. Events like this remind us of home and help keep our traditions alive, even when we are far away.

A special thank you to all the committee members and volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this event a success. Your dedication and effort are truly appreciated.

At the same time, I would like to gently share a small thought. While most people came together in a joyful and positive spirit, there were a few moments where it felt like some individuals were unintentionally affecting others’ enjoyment. As Sri Lankans living abroad, these gatherings are very important for unity, friendship, and happiness.

Let’s continue to support one another, celebrate together with kindness, and create an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. A smile, encouragement, and mutual respect can make a big difference.

Thank you again to everyone who contributed to this beautiful celebration. Looking forward to many more joyful gatherings together 🇱🇰✨
