Motherhood is full of myths—quiet rules about what you can and can’t want, feel, or achieve once you become “just a mum.”
Here are 5 myths that Human Design and spirituality helped me see through:
Myth 1: Being exhausted every day is normal.
Truth: You’ve been operating from fight-or-flight for so long, your nervous system is fried.
Myth 2: You have to hustle like everyone else to improve life for your kids.
Truth: Operating in alignment with your unique design is more effective than hustling any day. Rested mothers receive more ideas, love, joy, and gratitude—which benefits everyone.
Myth 3: Putting one foot in front of the other is enough. Just work harder.
Truth: Dreaming of more is essential. It opens the door to inspiration and possibility—without hustling yourself into an early grave.
Myth 4: Guilt, anger, and fear are just part of motherhood. You can’t escape them.
Truth: That’s true if you’re operating from a low-frequency set point. But you can raise it—with mindfulness, Human Design, spiritual tools, and great friends.
Myth 5: I’m just a mum. I should be happy with what I’ve got. I don’t have anything else to offer.
Truth: You’re a mum—and so much more. Your unique combination of experience, perspective, and Human Design is needed in the world. Only you can deliver what you’re here to share.

For a long time, I was stuck in the fight mentality trap—exhausted, reactive, drowning in emotional drama. Parenting both a neurospicy and a neurotypical teen stretched me in ways I never expected.
But Human Design, spirituality, and mindfulness helped me see the myths clearly. They helped me reclaim faith in myself.
If you’re ready to escape the fight trap, too, follow along. You deserve to dream of a better life. You deserve a team that sees your magic. Yes, you deserve to follow your dreams of more than being 'just a mum'.
And if you ever need someone on your team—I’m here.
