We’re stoked to share our TVC for Fieldays made with our friends at KingSt Advertising.

It was loads fun shooting this ad for such an iconic brand at home in the Waikato. Big thanks to everyone who helped bring this together.

✨ NEW WORK ✨

We are proud to share this documentary project we produced for Contiki, directed by Rutene Spooner.

Earlier in the year, we followed Ngamako Rota as she returned home to Waahi Paa Marae in the Waikato to lead a hautapu ceremony for the very first time.

This was a beautiful and challenging project; to create an authentic and nuanced story, but remain accessible to an audience who may know very little about Aotearoa New Zealand.

Starring Managing Director Julia Vahry and her daughter, we created a 30-second spot which tugs on the heart strings and encourages people to protect what they love.

🎥 WHAT GEAR DO WE USE? 🎥

Behind every shoot with 2113 is a carefully considered process of gear selection. Depending on the budget, scope and creative - we will select the best gear for the job.

For this branding shoot with Matrix Security, we wanted a nimble camera package (we shot a range of outputs across numerous locations in 2 days) that could also give us a slick, cinematic and elevated look.

We used our Canon C-70 camera paired with the Lomo Illuminas MKII lenses to remain light on our feet, but still pack a visual punch.

Lens selection plays a huge part in defining your overall aesthetic. Whether you choose prime or zoom, anamorphic or spherical, we think it’s crucial to ensure you make these choices with purpose.

We chose the Lomo Illuminas for their fast T-stop, creating shallow depth of field, beautiful vintage characteristics and a striking halo lens flare. The best creatives will understand these technical aspects and find the right tools to tell your story.

While you can shoot content with cheaper, DSLR or iPhone cameras - using cinema quality gear elevates your brand and marketing to the next level.
