Loving the ‘Whitesnake’,the weather not so much😂

It's another one folks!

⚡Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Southern Auckland and Waikato⚡

👀 A Watch means that we have all the ingredients for thunderstorms and that these storms may become severe. We watch them as they develop.

⚠ A Warning is issued if a thunderstorm builds enough that it becomes classified as severe.

🌧️Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected about the upper North Island this afternoon and evening, with localised heavy rain.

⛈️Between 5pm and 10pm today (Tuesday) for Auckland about and south of Papakura and Waikato, some of these thunderstorms may be slow moving and SEVERE producing LOCALISED DOWNPOURS of 25 to 40 mm/h.

🚨Rainfall of this intensity can cause surface and/or flash flooding, especially about low-lying areas such as streams, rivers or narrow valleys, and may also lead to slips. Driving conditions will also be hazardous with surface flooding and poor visibility in heavy rain.
