We want to say Thank You, to give back and we will all be partying again soon to a little place we call home STATIC !!
Calling all Hamilton, Auckland (well all NZ) late night ragers, partiers, punters and rinsers !! Across the years most of you would have found yourselves at Static, maybe its your local watering hole maybe at one of our events. With its signature red wall, Static sign out the front and a smokers area you have to battle through, you know your at static, a smorgasbord of local and international Djs always playing a mixture of music to keep everyone entertained all night every weekend.
Static has been a huge part of Noize Radio, our team, DJs and also the people that have come to our events and also too all you that have just found yourself in there at the end of the night.
You will always see one of us weirdo DJ's floating around static, its been a place we have been able to put on a some amazing events and nights for everyone everyone to come and enjoy, a place we have been able let our inner craziness out!
For 9 years STATIC has been, for many of us, our own slice of paradise nestled in the CBD of the 'city of the future', Hamilton. This place has had a massive impact on the lives of those involved in this project and many many others. Whether as a place to meet with friends for a drink and a dance or a place where you fostered friendships, careers, businesses, relationships (marriages even!) - the impact Static has had on the overall culture of Hamilton nightlife is undeniable, which is why this campaign from a group of lovers of the rinse has come about.
COVID-19 has affected everyone and together (well.... you know what we mean) we have fought to return to a (almost) normal life heading into level 2 and beyond. However, the impact of restrictions on mass gatherings currently in place leaves institutes like STATIC with a very uncertain future.
This is not a fundraiser but a thank you.
A thank you for the many nights of unforgettable moments.
A thank you for breaking the norm.
A thank you for letting us all be a little bit different.
A thank you for providing a haven for lovers of music.
