1/2 posts for the year coming up! Just a quick update from this space. I have still been having a few clients in person while still doing my day to day job. I’m 33 weeks preggo and definitely feeling it. I wasn’t one of those mums that was able to exercise during my haputanga and this time round I have been able to accept that fact much much easier. Everyday my body is working to create new life and I’m so blessed to give my body the break and space it needs to do that. If you are hapu in the same boat just know that it is OK to listen to your body and do what feels right for you! No pressure from this space 💜 . I know there has been a few accounts of fitness enthusiasts who prioritise moving and strength training and eating all the proteins even when your preggo but honestly balancing a toddler, mahi and home life my plate is full. Anywho! I don’t know what this year brings for PT, I will carry on with my amazing few I have now and I’m hoping to open it up more when this bubba is 6months. I have some awesome help at the gym so I’m super blessed to be able to do this mahi still. So expect maybe more than 2 updates a year. Photo: this is my cool mate that rocks around with me sometimes 😉 if your an anytime fitness member I apologise if you find anything out of place l try keep my eye on her.

Kia ora koutou,

I apologise for my lack of presence on this page, my BAD! I have been doing many other things and looking after my clients. I am also hapu again (whoop whoop) and have been struggling to make it through one day lol but we are here still! Anywho, thought I would give this guy away for free! PM me your email OR just write it on this post and I'll send you the recipe book :) Next year I hope to get this page up and going again so keep an eye out 👀 kia pai tō rā!

My knowledge as a trainer doesn’t just stem from qualifications and readings but from real life experience. I have always played sports so that was an easy one but I wanted to delve into a few common sports people partake in to see what it was all about. I have written a few of my reality’s or learnings from these experiences. Definitely an amateur amongst all these “sports”. But I put a lot of time into each one so I can give my clients the best advice I know! One thing I haven’t tried is powerlifting! 🫣 I’ve got a few excuses for this one, mainly the rest periods and my cooked ankles, but one day I WILL give it a go! I don’t regret doing any of these things, for now I’m just enjoying living my balanced lifestyle of food and gym and good old game of netball 😝 (you can do anything you put your mind to but these are just some of my reality’s and Hopfully can give some perspective on things)

Sometimes it’s nice to train off the barbell. This is a good full body workout that allows you to keep moving and keep rest periods to a minimum.

Circuit: 3 sets
Smith machine squats x 10
Side step ups x 6
Step outs x 30

Superset: 3 sets
Single leg deadlift x 8
Inverted rows x 8

Superset: 3 sets
Busco squat press x 12
Cable low rows x 12

Superset: 3 sets
Single leg wall sit x 30seconds
Plates rows x 10

I love mixing it up. I make sure my clients also have good variety in their training. Join my app 📲 🥰

I like the first part of this video explaining human evolution. Simply, we as a generation now have ample access to food, yummy tasting high calorie food, and we also can be a lot less active in our day to day jobs. I feel like there is a bit more too it when he talks about obesity, it’s a multi complex thing, but it sure doesn’t help with the accessibility of food today. Food for thought anyway!
