Dredging will commence from Monday 6th October and should be completed by Saturday 25th October. Until then care needs to be taken launching and retrieving your boat - 2 hrs either side of high tide is strongly advised.

Our opening fishing comp will be on Saturday 27th September, high tide at 10.34am, weigh in by 4pm with prizegiving to follow. Poster below for more details.

The boating club would like a full house for the AGM at 11am on Saturday 26th July. We need volunteers for Commodore, vice Commodore and the committee. Being on the committee requires a certain amount of commitment so if you think you've got something to offer come along on Saturday and put your hand up.

Our major sponsor Buckland Marine are planning on doing some onsite outboard servicing in Kaiaua sometime over the next couple of weeks and they have offered a 10% discount to Kaiaua Boating club members off parts and labour for Yamaha outboards and a 5% discount to members for other brands.

The AGM will be held on Saturday 26th July @ 11am at the clubrooms when elections for Commodore, Vice Commodore and the committee will be held. If you think that you have what it takes to take this vibrant little club through the 2025 - 2026 season, please speak to a current committee member or put your hand up at the AGM for nomination. Prizegiving will follow and then a light lunch will be served with tea and coffee.
The AGM is the time to share your ideas or your concerns. It takes a bit of commitment with regular meetings through the fishing season to organizing fishing comps and helping out on fishing comp day.

Our new pontoon is usable though not yet finished, still some final touches over the next week or 2 so please be careful. Here are some pictures of a long weekend in the pouring rain! What a team!

The weather forecast for the next few day's is not looking very flash for boating so it is a good chance for us to do a well needed maintenance project on our pontoon at our main boat ramp.
Please be advised the main boat ramp and pontoon will be totally closed from Friday morning 27th June until Monday morning 30th June. If this changes we will keep you posted. There will be limited access to the second boat ramp if necessary. This will be a work site with machinery so please avoid the area for the weekend if possible. Thank you all for your patience from our committee team at the kaiaua boating club.
