the in-laws had a bbq so they bought their left overs up for us so the kids ate those and i cooked me up some homekill rump medium rare to eat my oysters &
they bought their salads too so i literally only had to cook eggs and my steak and reheat the pattie’s n sausages for the kids 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾!!!!

As the ripple effect of a loss like this reaches through a community, the last few days have felt surreal and heartbreaking for us, living directly opposite.

Hubby and I can’t help but sit with that feeling of wishing we had seen the signs, or noticed something months ago, just something.

As a mum to young children, my heart has been especially heavy watching a whānau, and especially his māmā, go through something no parent should ever have to face. Feeling helpless, but wanting to do so much.

But the beautiful thing about our valley is that when our people need us most, we come together. There is never a shortage of aroha, support and manaakitanga.

It really makes you realise how much we can take our people and our time with them for granted.

Wrapping so much aroha around the Kopa whānau. 🤍

Aroha to the whānau !
Soooo sad and unbelievable tbh because we look over there every single day 😭 masssive shock for us but can’t imagine the whānau 🥺

Northland Police were called to reports of human remains being found at a Waiomio property yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the Waiomio Road property just before 4pm.

A scene guard has been in place overnight and Police are working to recover the body this morning with the assistance of Land Search and Rescue.

The circumstances surrounding this death are currently unexplained, and Police are now working to establish the full circumstances of what has occurred.

The identity of the body is not yet known and Police will be making a number of enquiries to establish that.

The property will undergo a scene examination today, and a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

A further update will be provided when more information becomes available.

We went to get some watercress and hubby was trying to teach them how to pick it properly but these guys just wanted to swim (JJ)🙄he then picked a few stalks and then started picking w**ds lmao !
his little brothers actually did well and we showed them the difference of the leaf from w**d to watercress, so we having boil up for tea 🤤 checking our freezer to see what bones we have !

Homeschool life- learn to get your own kai but harvest correctly so if continues to grow for the rest of the whānau 🫶🏽 they’ll learn to make their own boil up too !
