Last night I caught up with the legend Dean Hapeta aka Te Kupu who is a founding member of the rōpu.

They will be going on tour performing next Friday 24th June at the 💜

So excited for the release of Whina! Coming to us in June! 🥺

I recently caught up with Tioreore Ngatai-Melbourne, who plays whina as a teenager in the film!

Telling the story of Dame Whina Cooper, who we know for leading the history making Māori land March to parliament in 1975.

What we don’t know is all the amazing things she did up until that point! Put together with all the challenges and cards stacked against her, it’s amazing what she was able to achieve. 🤍
