BluwaveTV is growing, and we are now looking for a Live Streaming & Production Assistant to join our team in Manukau, Auckland.

This is an opportunity for someone passionate about media, livestreaming, digital production, and storytelling to be part of one of the Pacific’s growing digital media platforms.

The role includes livestream operations, camera and audio setup, production support, and assisting with digital content delivery across our programmes and platforms.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, mature in thinking, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment. Experience with vMix, OBS, camera and audio equipment, and basic graphic design is preferred. Ability to speak Samoan is an advantage, but not essential.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 8:00pm (30 hours per week).

We don’t just tell stories… we tell the ones that matter.

A couple of weeks ago, we had Daniella Belford on one of our platforms — and her story stayed with us.

At just 16, this young golfer from Papakura, South Auckland is already achieving at a high level and now preparing for her journey to Scotland. But beyond the achievements, there’s something deeper — Daniella is autistic, and that part of her journey deserves just as much attention.

At Bluwave, this is why we do what we do.

We highlight what many don’t see.
And for us — Autism is close to home.

This next phase is about going deeper.

We’re not just supporting Daniella’s journey in golf — we’re looking to dive further into what it means to live with autism, to share real stories, real experiences, and bring greater understanding to our community.

We’ll be continuing filming, building her story, and using our platforms that reach millions every month to help shine a light where it matters most.

Bluwave started on 8 May 2008 in Apia, Samoa, as a small surf shop and bar with a simple idea. Two years later, we moved into communications and digital, and we have kept growing ever since.

From Samoa to NZ, Australia, and the USA, it hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has shaped us.

As our 18th years of operation approaches on 8 May, we are Grateful to God that we are still growing, creating jobs for Pacific people, and supporting our communities.
