Its been a while since our last update.
For those that don't know, Wairarapa TV is actually a bit of a test bed for technology that is developed by local Masterton company noise productions ltd. When we first created Wairarpa TV, there just wasn't any cost effective systems and software available on the market to stand up a low cost TV Channel.... The software and hardware we needed cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

So we decided to built it all from scratch ourselves.

It turns out that lots of other people in countries all around the world also wanted this, so for the last few years we have been flat out selling and implementing the technology that drives Wairarapa TV in radio and TV channels all around the world. There are now more than 1000 TV and Radio channels around the world running the technology that started right here in little old Masterton.

Anyway, because we have been so busy looking after everyone else, Wairarapa TV has been a bit neglected in terms of content and capability. Some of the gear we built it all on is now over 10 years old and has become a bit unreliable.

Today marks a renewed drive to fix this as Wairarapa TV is the first in the world to be switched over to our new Version 2 platform.

You might not notice too much of a change to start with (other than some fancier weather forecasts and updated train times), but over the coming weeks and months we'll be adding a heap of new interactive features which will allow viewers to interact with the channel and each other on live TV. Watch this space and as always thanks for your continued support and for all the text messages when something breaks.

Our long range radar is up and running before everyone else and Santa Tracker is now active on Freeview UHF Channel 41 from now until tomorrow morning.
