Advertising Sales Executive

An exciting opportunity is now open to join the Junction Magazine team as an Advertising Sales Executive – perfect for someone who thrives on conversation and connection.

Do you love talking to people, discovering local businesses, and turning conversations into lasting relationships? If so, you’ll fit right in.​

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about our region (from Puhoi to Waipu) and confident driving sales – especially over the phone. Around ​​80% of this role involves outbound sales calls, so being comfortable picking up the phone, having engaging chats, and following up with leads is essential.

The following skills and experience are a must:
• 2 year minimum direct sales experience
• Reach KPIs and monthly sales targets
• Confident negotiation skills
• Ability to generate and develop own leads and sales opportunities
• Strong oral and written communication, administration, and ​a ​good knowledge of sheets/excel is a must
• An understanding of marketing basics including social media

Personal Requirements:
• Strong work ethic, ability to work unsupervised
• Driven to exceed sales target and loves the chase of the sale
• Naturally outgoing, a “people person” who is goal driven
• Able to cope under pressure and loves being part of a small team

Position Details:
​40 hours per week​, work from home. Own transport and laptop is a must. Occasional production meetings in Matakana or client meetings from Puhoi - Waipu.​ Pay rate is depending on experience, bonuses also available.

The lovely little Rosey is modelling the iconic tartan walking coat in this month’s July shoot. Perfectly matching the countryside feel, the tartan complements the rustic setting - chickens wandering nearby and keeping cosy on a crisp winter’s day.

What a fabulous night celebrating the 2025 Junction Awards! A huge congratulations to all of this year’s winners, along with the incredible runner ups who made it into the top five of their category. You should all be so proud - as should every business that takes part each year.
