We had the absolute pleasure of directing the Waiata Māori Music Awards for the fifth time this year, and we're stoked to let you know it will be available for everyone to view in just a few days 🙌

📺 The awards will be airing on Māori+ on the 25th of December at 7pm, and on the 31st of December on Whakaata Māori TV at 5pm. Whakaata Māori

A massive thank you to Te Māngai Pāho also who funded this years broadcast, we wouldn't have been able to deliver such a schmicky broadcast without you so thank you.

Dan, Andy, and Lennon just spent an EPIC weekend in Taupō doing drone ops for the IRONMAN live broadcast 🏃🙌 With helicopters, motorbikes, boats, and drones all working together, the camera crew captured every moment of this massive event featuring 6000 athletes from 100 countries. Not a bad way to spend the weekend, if you ask us! 😎🚁 Big ups to Taupō for putting on the sun for us, it was a scorcher.

Around this time last year, we were contracted to shoot the Hawke's Bay aerials for the new documentary mini-series 'In Cold Water: The Shelter Bay Mystery.'

📺The series delves into the mysterious death of Laura Letts-Beckett, who drowned in Canada in 2008. Her husband, Peter Beckett, a former Napier City Councillor, claimed it was an accident, but police suspected foul play in this murder mystery that's closer to home than most.

🇳🇿 It was such a pleasure working on this project, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to play a part in showcasing the place we call home to the world.

In Cold Water is available now on Sky and Prime Video 🙌

We’re currently seeking someone with an American accent to record a two-minute script for an animated video.

Applicants should have a clear and articulate voice with good pronunciation and tone.

Males and females are both welcome to apply, and experience is preferred but not essential.

This is a PAID job and if selected you will need to be available to record the voice-over at our studio in Napier the week of the 16th of December 2024.

Introducing our amazing 3D animator, Reuben! 👋

Hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Reuben discovered Dan through a Facebook freelance page, and they quickly formed an awesome working partnership.

🎮 Reuben's passion for animation began early! Growing up playing video games, he took a class in SolidWorks at AUT when he was just 15 and finished hours ahead of the rest of his class. Since that one class, Reuben's impressive skills have all been self-taught.

🎶Around six months into learning 3D, he had the opportunity to animate a time-coded intro sequence for a famous Drum and Bass Producer. The scene was hectic, and he didn't know at the time that it would be used all across Australasia and Europe including Warehouse Project Manchester and Glastonbury.

🇳🇿 Although there are a lot of standout projects throughout Reuben's career to date, he says the work we do in the cultural space (Matariki Projection Mapping, Kahurangi, Waiata Māori Music Awards) is the most rewarding. Respect for the work and its people is incredibly important to him.

👨‍💻His approach to animation is: "Anything is possible, so just try. My philosophy is, embrace, persist, conquer." 🙌

☕️ Outside of work, Reuben enjoys coffee, music, playing drums, gaming, and spending time with his dog, Nami.

✨ We don't really talk about it much on here, but did you know one of the services we offer is 360 content for VR? Here's a throwback to a piece we created just after COVID hit that we're a little bit proud of.

🚁 Hive Flight is an immersive Virtual Reality experience we created for The True Honey Co. back in 2020. The world was changing rapidly—COVID-19 was spreading globally, and cities everywhere were entering lockdown.

🍯 The True Honey Co’s CMO, Jane Willersdorf, knew that when the world opened up again, they needed to do something different to get people to take notice of their brand – a small yet incredibly mighty mānuka honey from the ends of the earth. Jane discussed the potential of VR with boss man Dan.

⛰️ With footage captured of Aotearoa’s stunning scenery and the far-flung hive locations, we created a VR story that took people to the source of The True Honey Co.’s extraordinary product. The journey starts at a helipad before you join the crew on a helicopter, soaring above the ocean and dense forest. After touching down on a cliff-top clearing that is so remote the beekeepers can only get in on the end of a rope under the helicopter, you’re just steps away from beehives and apiarists at work. This is an immersive experience that gets you as close as you can to one of New Zealand’s most premium exports.

🌴 The main usage of it was at the World Expo in Dubai in 2021, but it's been used over and over again by their sales team to help explain why their honey is the worlds best.
