hich compliment the peaceful relaxed atmostphere. Open for breakfast and lunch the cafe offers separate Breakfast, Lunch and Gluten Free Menus with another Blackboard Lunch Menu (changing daily) 6 days a week. With an extensive cabinet display we offer good old fashioned home-style baking that includes a salad bar. Established 10 years ago on the main road we moved 3 years ago to a little known backstreet and have shown each year extraordinary growth. Cafe Ahuriri is now the hub of the community with an unusually wide customer base catering for large family groups, office workers, business people and the elderly. Known for supporting "Good Causes" the cafe gets tremendous customer support for all its fundraising ventures from raising money for locals who are ill and community groups in need to national efforts such as the Pike River Miners and Christchurch Earthquake Fund. The Cafe has 18 staff and is constantly developing training programmes to national standards. Three staff havr recently qualified as H.S.I. Trainers and Assessors so now staff can get National Qualifications without cost.

10 dishes to choose from
Scrambled egg, bacon, hashbrowns, scallop potatoes, breakfast sausages, savoury tomatoes, lambsfry & bacon, creamy mushrooms, baked beans & french stick.

Small plate $19 or large $23, children $2 per year (Up to 8yr)

One plate per person & one serve per person. A limited menu also available as well as a salad bar and a great range of cabinet food. - Old fashioned baking taste the difference!

CAFE AHURIRI XMAS SHOE BOX APPEAL

Make a difference to a child this Christmas

There are children in our community who through unfortunate circumstances do not have Christmas, some don’t have things that we take for granted – simply put together a shoebox for Christmas and leave it under the Christmas tree at Cafe Ahuriri to make one of these children smile on Christmas day.
These boxes don’t cost much to put together and contain about 7 items.

We are not trying to change the world, we are just making a difference to the kids who will.
