A little story / Una pequeña historia

Let’s bring a bit of AFRO-LATIN and CARIBBEAN flavour to NElSON! My name is Pablo (Pabs) and I've got 10+ years’ experience teaching Latin dance in Chile, New Zealand and Australia, where I was running classes for 2 years in Melbourne (including a performance team) and participating of a few Latin Dance festivals. After holding workshops in Christchurch, Dunedin, Wanaka (Nov 2017) and Invercargill (Jun/Jul 2018), with an amazing participation of more than 100 students, I’m sure that this will be the start of something good with Nelsonians.

But, why the name?...well, it is a play on words. You see...On one hand, its kind of saying that we are part of this beautiful city: Nelson’s son. And, the deeper meaning... Nikki (my life/dance partner) and I have one favorite Cuban style, called “SON”, hence the name!

The last 2 years in Australia we've been practicing and studying a few different types of dance that we would like to share with the local dance community: Son, Cha cha cha, Mambo, Bachata, Merengue, Afro-cuban, Afrobeat/house, Reggeaton, Cumbia and others Now that we are here to stay, we are excited to bring a group of people together, interested in this amazing art form and culture from different countries. We are very eager to share our knowledge with all of you, so DO NOT MISS OUT on this opportunity. 💃 😎 OUR CLASSES: - AfroLatin Fit / Mondays - Kizomba / Tuesdays - Traditional Cuban Casino / Wednesdays * keep an eye on parties, social dance, workshops, events and performances around Nelson.
