This Sunday marks 50 years to the day since the great Tim Buckley died at the age of 28. Later generations mostly know his name as the father of Jeff Buckley, who inherited his extraordinary five-octave vocal range and, coincidentally, also died young (though, at 30, not as young as his dad). I have to admit this is a theme I have done once before, in 2023. But there really are no words for what I’ve been through in the past couple of weeks, so I’m doing it again, but mostly with songs that didn’t appear last time. In essence, the playlist is all songs with vocals but without words. S**t, humming and gibberish are allowed but not actual language.
