Massive congratulations to Phoebe, Elijah, and Millie for their powerful mini movie! 🎬💚

A short film about the changing weather events and how it’s impacting animals, people, and our planet. 🌏🐾💧 Through their creativity and teamwork, they’ve inspired us all to protect what we love.

We’ll be sharing their video soon so you can experience their mahi for yourself! 🙌✨

So in this mini movie we wanted to raise awareness of climate change because IT IS REAL and it can hurt animals, people and the planet👍

🏆✨ FIRST PRIZE WINNERS! ✨🏆

A huge mihi and congratulations to the Te Taitamatane class from Te Kura o Ōmanaia for taking out First Prize in the Tai Tokerau Climate Action Film Contest! 🎬🌏

Their film wowed the judges with its creativity, powerful message, and heartfelt call to action for kaitiakitanga. This was storytelling at its finest – showing how our tamariki are stepping up for the whenua and inspiring change. 💚🌿

We have a smaller number of entrants this year, so we won't be booking the Events Theatre. The good news is that all entrants will receive a prize.

We will be showing the films and awarding the prizes in the May Bain Room at the Whangārei Library. Saturday 26 July 11am - 12:30
