"Serious crash, SH1, Oamaru - Southern"

Police are on the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the intersection of Thames and Ouse Streets in Oamaru.

Emergency services received reports of the crash around 12.52pm.

Two people are reported to have serious and moderate injuries and are being treated by ambulance staff.

The road is closed with diversions and traffic management in place.

Motorists are advised to take Trent Street if they are travelling northbound.

-80–140 mm within 20 km farther east

Peak rates: 25–35 mm/h near the divide. Snow level around 1800 m
Low chance of upgrade to Red Warning

📍Headwaters of the Canterbury lakes and rivers south of about Lake Marion

Period: 15 hours from 7:00am Wed 17 Sep to 10:00pm Wed 17 Sep
Forecast: Expect 150 to 200 mm of rain about the main divide, and 100 to 150 mm within 20 km farther east. Peak rates of 25 to 35 mm/h expected about the divide. Snow level 2000 metres.
Low chance of upgrading to a Red Warning.

💧: Conserve Water Notice - Awamoko Supply Users - 15 September

Corriedale Water Management Ltd is undertaking work on one of the main lines from the pump station to scheme reservoirs from Tuesday 16 September.

All users on the Awamoko Supply should conserve water.

The water supply is expected to be back to normal by the 18th of September.

This post will be updated when more information is available.
