If you are going to pitch your "thing" on Social Media at least check your spelling and your grammar! Facebook even does that for you now, so there is literally no excuse....and don't start on the "the AI made me do it" cause it doesn't even know how to spell things incorrectly!!

NEVER EVER BUY FOLLOWERS OR LIKES!!!

No matter how much you want your followers to look good, swapping follows or just straight out buying them absolutely ruins your algorithm for Advertising! You might not even be running ads right now, but when you eventually do you are going to want those people following your page to use as a warm audience and if they are all irrelevant and not actually interested in your business you may as well throw your money down the dunny!!

Want to grow your page, post great content, share your knowledge, contribute in groups without trying to sell people your thing, and last but the fastest way...run ads!

When everyone else zigs.....you need to zag!

So everyone in your industry is doing cut price, low entry point options that mislead their customers into thinking that they are going to get something for nothing or very little...... is that really how you want to be thought of? Known as the business that sucked them in then hit them with a big bill afterwards?

How about instead of running with the crowd you draw your clients to you by showing your expertise, your clients experiences and how what you do is different. Show them you understand their problems and you have experience in solving them.

Lead Generation...... would have to be the #1 objective for businesses on Social Media!

If the business is good at it you won't even know it happened. You'll go from accidentally (yeah right) stumbling across a post one day to becoming a raving fan and then they start showing up everywhere in your life (no algorithm at play here people, just a fluke) and sooner or later you'll buy, recommend or support that business in someway.

If they contribute to your entertainment, your education or your wellbeing in anyway you'll be come a fan, and that's exactly how you want your customers to see you! Repurpose Me? Well not you, your content!!

It's true creating content can be quite a bit of work, that is if you don't know all the hacks to creating great content and re-purposing it!

For example, you might write an ebook about an important topic in your industry. Then, you could take the chapters of that ebook, and edit each one to make them into individual blog posts. Next, you could create an infographic illustrating the statistics mentioned in the ebook. And finally, you could give a webinar discussing the content in that ebook. Not only does this approach lighten the content creation load, but it also allows the same content to be consumed by people with different tastes in content.

Working smarter not harder means you are still producing amazing helpful content but you are not re-inventing the wheel every day! It also means that people get several touch points on your content before you go and change the subject on them! Education = Retention!

So what is Content marketing and what's the point?!

Any valuable information, conveyed via any medium, can be considered content. Videos, infographics, Meme's, slide shares, PDFs, blogs, articles, podcasts, white papers, ebooks, webinars – the list goes on and on.

There are many reasons why your brand should create a content marketing strategy:
• It allows you to connect directly with your target market
• It helps you stand out from the competition
• It generates leads and sales
• It helps you build brand visibility
• It’s cost-effective
• It can be repurposed for many different platforms
• It’s sustainable and adaptable

Essentially, content marketing allows you to share your brand’s narrative directly with your audience. Creating a content strategy also helps you keep on target with your promotions throughout the year, and enables you time to educate your clients on upcoming offers!

One of the great things about the Meta platform as it allows you to measure the effectiveness of your content by showing you the metrics of how many times it was viewed, how long it was viewed, who reacted to it, and who shared it. This allows you to create content you know your audience is going to love!

You send Marketing emails how often??

Everyone loves that Company that sends them 3-4 emails a day right? Yeah well I don't!

In fact, I bet there are a lot of people like me who would rather have quality over quantity. Here's the great thing about using proper email Marketing software.... you can test and measure the statistics of open rates and link clicks (if you have them in the email), obviously you can track the un-subscribes and the actual replies you sometimes get too.

So what's the trick to getting people to open your emails?? Headlines!! The subject needs to grab you right off the bat! Create a style and vibe that is specific to your brand so when it hits your customers inbox they know what to expect and look forward to getting your updates, education and humor (all things that convert well on email).

Most importantly of all though, is that your email list can serve you in so many other ways (like helping you create audiences for your ads!) so you need to nurture them and make them see you appreciate their time!

The best way to grow an email marketing list is to offer your audience an incentive in exchange for signing up to receive your emails. You can put this offer on your site, on your social media pages, on landing pages you create to get people excited – just get the word out, and your leads will automatically qualify themselves by opting in.

So, what makes a good incentive?

Any kind of content that will be seen as valuable by your particular audience. It can be an eBook, a white paper, a video, a webinar, even a coupon – anything that is attractive enough to potential customers that they are willing to give up their email address in order to get it. People like to feel like you are going to provide them value from the outset, so giving them something in return for their details is only fair if you want the opportunity of their eyes on your products or services!

How much does social media marketing cost? What’s the ROI?

One thing is for certain – social media marketing is never free. Whether you’re spending your own valuable time on it, asking an employee to add it to their workload, hiring a social media employee, or outsourcing marketing from a freelancer, there is always a cost.

The key is to get the maximum ROI out of what you put into it. It’s important to remember, that ROI doesn’t have to mean revenue and conversions. It can, but it can also mean meeting other objectives, like getting new leads, increasing email subscriptions, or even boosting customer satisfaction.

The ROI you end up with is the direct result of how focused your social media marketing strategy is. That is assuming you have one, and if you don't you might want to sort that out before moving ahead with any type of Marketing!

Tony Robbins has a great quote about "running East looking for a sunset." The point is, the sun sets in the West, so if you’re running East, it doesn’t matter how good your tactics are, how much money you throw at it, or how smart you are…you’re not going to find it.

All the "hustle" in the world won’t save you if your strategy is fundamentally flawed.

Terminology is everything!!

In New Zealand we know this as a Jandal, in Australia they know it as a Thong. However in the US a Thong is underwear! You can see how this could get you into trouble!

You’ll also notice that Kiwis are more sarcastic and dry than our overly nice but pushy mates in the US.

Why does this matter? Because knowing your market is everything, so if you are advertising in NZ or Australia copy produced out of the US is unlikely to hit the target and compel the audience.
