After sharing Xander’s photo yesterday, it’s only fair I step out from behind the lens too!

This is the team behind Kerby Creative.

I’m Kate... Mum, midwife by trade, and the one you’ll usually find on the grid or quietly working the edges, chasing those candid, in-between moments that tell the real story of race day. For now, I’ve stepped away from the full-time midwifery grind and into a different rhythm… content creator, photographer, artist, writer, administrator... whatever hat needs wearing to keep things moving (and the teenager fed!). From the NZ Rotax Max Challenge to WPKA Goldstar and KartSport NZ KartStars, I’m the one behind the race day socials and design.

Xander, on the other hand, lives for the action and the detail. He’s chasing the tight shots, the chaos, the perfectly timed on-track moments. Motorsport has been his world for the past few years... usually behind the wheel or on the tools... so being trackside with a camera is just another way to stay in the thick of it. And if there’s a chance to take the Supercharged Mini on a road trip somewhere in NZ, he’s already got the keys… making him our unofficial (but very committed) tour driver.

Two perspectives, one passion... telling the story of karting as it really happens.
