Artists Conversation with Alice Herald & Ed Cruikshank.
Wednesday 23 July brings together two creators who understand that great design creates lasting connections.

Alice Herald transforms nature's architecture into fine jewellery that tells stories, drawing from ancient Mexican influences and New Zealand's natural beauty. Her work spans from bespoke pieces to international collections.

Ed Cruikshank has been creating unique objects for over thirty years. Former Head of Design at LINLEY London, he's moved from custom furniture and artworks to entire interior schemes for homes, lodges, yachts, and boardrooms worldwide. He's known for embedding personalised texts into his work - creating space for conversations that matter.

Both artists are on a mission to create meaning and connection through their work - not for those lucky enough to acquire it, but for everyone who experiences thoughtful design. They'll explore the future of connection-driven design, creating for slower living, and the power of objects that truly connect us.

Tasting Session with Mount Edward
Thursday 24 July || 1730 - 1930 || MC Beach St

Mount Edward brings their award-winning Central Otago wines to Mountain Club for an intimate tasting session with the winemaking team.

Founded in 1997 as Central Otago pioneers, Mount Edward remains family-owned and Bio Gro certified organic across five estate vineyards. Their approach focuses on minimal intervention winemaking - no fining, filtration, aids or additives - creating wines that are delicious, textural, and authentic.

From single vineyard Pinot Noir to innovative Gamay expressions, Mount Edward breaks new ground as the first in New Zealand to make vermouth and early adopters of skin contact techniques. Their motto "Grow your Own Way" reflects a commitment to individual and progressive winemaking.

Wellness means different things to different people. For Mountain Club members, it's about building the foundation that supports everything else.

Your membership includes twice-weekly Reformer Pilates sessions with Reform Pilates at Five Mile - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1115.

These aren't just exercise classes. They're an hour to step away from screens, connect with your body, and create the mental space that's increasingly rare in our always-on world.

Regular movement improves sleep, reduces stress, builds physical strength, and enhances mental clarity. The compound effect of consistent wellness practice shows up in better decision-making, increased resilience, and sustained energy for the things that matter most.

Wellness isn't about perfection or following the latest trends. It's about creating sustainable practices that support the life and career you're building.

Because taking care of yourself isn't selfish - it's essential.

Beyond the Buzz: Making Emerging Tech Work in the Real World.
Thursday 17 July || 1700 || MC Beach Street.

We are bringing together four people who implement technology in business, not just talk about it.

Ben Clist helps companies cut through SaaS sprawl and find real automation value. Andrew Leary from B Camp focuses on AI that actually streamlines operations. Hannah Henderson applies advanced tech in traditional agritech at Halter. Peter Ramsey brings startup founder experience and early-stage investment perspective through Mainland Angels.

The conversation will focus on strategic technology adoption that's scalable and aligned with actual business goals. What's worth investing in versus what's just hype? How do you implement emerging tech effectively? Send us a message for more details.

AI conversations that cut through the noise || Every month, Iona Bruce and Andrew Laery host an AI meet-up that focuses on what actually works in business. No overwhelming tech jargon, no predictions about robot futures - practical discussion about real applications and results.

The conversation changes based on our attendee's current interests, sometimes it's workflow automation, sometimes content creation tools, sometimes integration challenges.

Monday 7 July is our next session. Relaxed atmosphere, useful insights, and connections with people navigating similar territory. Send us a message to join the monthly AI conversation.

Throw back to our Marketing Association event with Frankie Coulter.

The NZ Marketer of the Year reminded us why marketing fundamentals still win. Smart positioning beats big budgets when you understand your market.

Marketing is an investment in business growth, and getting stakeholders to see that difference changes everything. We are so thankful for the simple frameworks that work whether you're reviving iconic brands or building from scratch.
