What a joke
It is with a great deal of sadness and disappointment that we announce the cancellation of R**tsuri and all future events at Winton Raceway.
Winton and the board of directors have made the decision to no longer allow any drifting, roll racing etc on the main track due to track damage.
For us personally at Keep at R**t and many others in the drift community this is a huge blow. There are little to no tracks available for us to do what we do, what we love, what drives us, and what we work so hard for.
We have been working tirelessly for over two years trying to bring drifting to new tracks, and proposing everything and anything to grow this amazing sport and community - even resulting in financial losses at times. But Winton’s decision has hit hard. But we won’t give up.
We are posting this to be completely open and honest and we need your help. We must band together to bring awareness and to demand change.
This is not hooning on the street.
Drifting is a skill, a sport and for some of us - it’s life. Our whole aim at KIR is to provide a safe, accessible, local, affordable, controlled and legal environment for Drifting. But we NEED a track.
We welcome a discussion and to hear your thoughts.. we are listening and we will do everything we can to bring the change that the Australian drift scene desperately needs.
